Weapons: The Zephyr Edge, a katana forged from the “leftovers” of Sturmfaust’s forging. It is the only blade that can stand up to Sturmfaust. Elenome also carries a few kunai and shurikens for long-distance attacks.
Identifying marks: Wears a red bandana with the Elvish rune for “honor” in white.

Background: Elenome was once known as Polyrene Schwartsvald. He is Zerahl’s half-brother and worst enemy, even worse than Dramar. When Zerahl was the “good knight,” Polyrene was his accomplice. Sometimes, enemies of Zerahl would drop down dead for no apparent reason, but this was Polyrene’s swift work being done.

Then Zerahl changed, but Polyrene did not. Polyrene remained the “pure-hearted” ninja momma’s boy that he always was. When Zerahl fought the dragon by himself, Polyrene merely watched, partially after Zerahl’s orders, and partially for fear of his own life. When Zerahl’s armor was melted onto him, Polyrene ran in fear.

Zerahl grew to become the menace we know. Meanwhile, Polyrene changed his name to Elenome Lightbringer and trained on a solitary mountain, honing his skills. One day, in passing, Elenome met the smith who had forged Zerahl’s great sword Sturmfaust, attempting to sell a similar katana, the Zephyr Edge. When Elenome learned that this was the sister blade of Sturmfaust, he immediately took it. The smith was eager to get rid of it and so Elenome received it at no charge. Soon thereafter, Elenome met a large dragon, about the size of the one that had burned Zerahl. Seeking to redeem himself and eliminate his cowardice, he slew the dragon without sustaining a burn, relying on his speed. He remained in training then.

What has the character done for the past two years?: Elenome was nearly killed in the blast from Cain. The mountain on which he trained crumbled into pieces, and he was nearly buried alive. A mysterious passerby saved him. Since then, he has been wandering, a mercenary outlaw. He has stolen from the rich, hunted on Draconian lands, and even killed the most corrupt nobles.

Character’s Goal: Elenome seeks to destroy his half-brother Zerahl and redeem himself. He also desires to find the passerby who saved him under the mountain.

(Elenome doesn’t know that Zerahl has changed to become a paladin. Hestill is trying to kill Zerahl, but once he finally finds him, one fight will probablysend them back into their state of friendship.)
