I had some time on my hand before I decide to go on a Counterstrike spree so I updated three roleplays up onto the site:
Next, I’m going to tackle Fight High and other completed roleplays. When there are more IC posts in the current roleplays, I’ll update them too.
Just came back from a trip to China and decided to twiddle with things a little.
Look forward to more updates and a working advanced search form (is a challenge though). Also, do give us your comments to help improve the site. They will be most appreciated.
Although it’s not exactly completed (advanced search is not working) or has every single piece of information up, Drache is now officially up and running. ^^ I have added a copy of the rules, guidelines and FAQ from Dreamers here and I think it’s time to let the existence of this site be known.
I’ll update as much as I can and hopefully get all the archived roleplays up as soon as possible. There are many things interesting things I’m hoping to add to the site. Maybe a skin chooser? A shoutbox (hosted by myself)? Or a monthly poll thing? I’m wondering about the usefulness of a counter and if I should add one.
But anyway, the site is up and if there are any bugs you discovered that I missed (no, the advanced search does not work), feel free to contact me (Seluna) by my email or any other means you have.
Yup, I got the link from the Roleplay posts to the list of Character Profiles under the particular roleplay to work. I will probably try to refine it and have it put even more information, but for now, my work on that is done.
Next up, I’ll twiddle with the Advanced Search, which isn’t exactly working yet. But anyhow, I have an idea how to. And also, add more content. Maybe at the same time, try to add pictures and choice of themes? Hm… that would be cool.
I was talking about getting help, and I found it from Yume-chan. She is going to be pretty free during the holidays, so she volunteered. Hopefully now the site can finally jump a big step forward as more information is put together.
With my Final Year Project drawing to an end, I’ve started twiddling with the site again. Not so much of a navigational change, I did a little touch-up with the layout. In my opinion, it’s a bit more user friendly now.
I’m thinking of getting somebody to help me update the profiles, or I’ll never finish getting all of the relatively archived ones up on the site. I can do the IC of the RPs myself, no problem, since much of my twiddling will affect their layout anyway. But profiles, well, I can get somebody to help out. The question is, should I, and who?
I added a bunch of profiles and I’ll proceed with adding more roleplayers over this period of time. Meanwhile, I’ll also be getting some of the more tedious parts of the navigation system in place, so there are some new features that are not working yet. Bear with me for a while until I figure out how to make them work, then the site will be ready to go official.
Good news is that I am able to get the IC stories up and it’s looking great. The bad news is, some of the more advanced and helpful navigation will take quite some time to implement, so they will come slowly, when I have time to figure out how to get them out properly. But for now, more content will be added, so watch out for it. ^^
The approximate first phase of this website’s development is completed. Meaning, the basic setup and navigation are up and running. Fine-tuning them will take place later. There is one part that I have not tried out yet and it’s almost the most important section of this site, so I’m quite nervous. But still, I have got most of the basic things figured out so it should be fine.
I’m trying to see if I can manage to make the Dreamers Roleplay Archives (‘Drache’ for short) into a dynamic website for easier management. Let’s see how it turns out, shall we?
