I’m still not good with balancing work and school together yet and with exams coming up, it’s impossible for me to be doing any roleplays or updating anything. And I know I haven’t update for a long time. But I have not completely given up on Drache or roleplaying, they are still a major part of my life.

For Drache, the IC pages are still not showing so I turned them all off for now and is working on getting them to show (i think it has to do with a php version upgrade). That’s the priority of course. As well as the missing poll, because there are some issues so I turned them off too. What’s in the plans but not in the priority:

  • Updating the Rules & Guides section, it’s outdated.
  • Backend changes, making use of custom taxonomies to categorize stuff in a much more cleaner way. (already in the works)
  • With the abovementioned backend changes in place, allow roleplayers themselves to become contributors so the updates can come quicker and not reliant on just me.
  • Roleplayers’ own profiles page.
  • Possible new themes or theme changing function.

One thing to note though, WordPress developer Matt’s announced that in a future WordPress version, easy and simple multi-blog on a single WordPress engine (without requiring additional plugins, rewrites or using another version like WordPressMU) may not be a dream anymore as WordPressMU’s multiblog capabilities will be in WordPress’s codes. So if that comes out soon-ish (like hopefully WP 3.0), merging my separate sites to one engine will take priority over everything else.

If you’re a WordPress blog engine user, you’ll know that there’s a 2.8 ‘Baker’ version that was released recently. Well, I upgraded Drache’s system up to it, but as with some upgrades, there are some problems. The IC pages are currently unavailable and I’m not sure what other things on the front end became broken.

I will squeeze some time out of my busy schedule to fix it and probably improve it, and maybe even tweak it so that I can let others have access and be able to update content to the site by themselves. That would be better than my near hiatus-y absence, no?

It shouldn’t make much difference for you guys (unless it heals lag, which would be nice) but I just had the site’s engine upgraded and it should make updating a lot alot easier. Which also heightens the frequency of my updates.

Unfortunately, because I’m in the middle of doing NaNoWriMo, I won’t be updating anything yet and I know, the backlog has been building. I’m planning to do them during December, preferably bring things up to date with how things are at Dreamers if possible. Some of the bugs haven’t been fixed yet, so any reports on them are still appreciated. ^^

But to be truthful, this upgrade is the result of an accident. I meant to test out the latest version of the blog engine I’m using as a CMS on the test site, but instead I accidentally deleted the live site (aka this site). >.>; So I have no choice but throw this version of the site up despite not having fully tested the bugs and updated everything. Let’s hope I can catch most of the bugs before anything goes horribly wrong. If you spot anything that’s not displaying right, or not doing what it’s supposed to, tell me please. You can leave a comment with this post, I will definitely see it.

For this upgrade, there are many little changes and additions that should (hopefully) make using this site easier and more friendly. The main navigation and contents are not changed much, so things shouldn’t feel too out of place… I hope. If there are any suggestions or feedback, do let me know. ^^

Oh, the most important thing. Not much has been updated since I last went on an updating spree. Once the site’s relatively bug free, I’ll pick one auspicious day and flood the site with update. Okies~?

List of Known Bugs

  • Layout error for some of the IC pages. Mostly the last page for each roleplay IC pages.
  • Links directing back to the main roleplay pages from certain IC pages and Info pages may not work. Let me know which ones.
  • Possible layout problem for certain internet browsers. As far as I know, everything should look normal, but I don’t really know.

For quite a while now. Quite a long while I’ll say. Much has happened for my roleplaying passion, and while it has not died, it needed some hibernation. Which was why the long period of neglect. But fear not, I will update soon. And after that, I’ll figure out how to upgrade the blog engine that is used to run this site to a newer version without breaking it.
